What Information is Collected

For instance, by using NPI, we may identify a computer or mobile device that has previously seen an advertisement we launched on behalf of a client. In such cases, we do not know who is using a computer or mobile device. Any reference to ‘you, your, consumer, user’ is to an anonymous user or users of a computer or device. We may collect usage or interaction with advertisements we manager for our clients.
Purpose of Collecting NPI: Using the collected NPI, Thumbvista provides services to allow advertisers to show you the most relevant advertisements. How is information collected?
We collect NPI through the use of browser cookies, pixels and related technologies. The use of a cookie or pixel allows us to record, for example, that a user has visited a particular advertisement. However, we provide users a way to opt-out of receiving cookies as mentioned below.
Log Information
When you visit an internet website, you disclose certain information about yourself, such as your internet [Protocol] (IP) address, the time of your visit and the referring location (e.g., the site or page that offered a link to a Thumbvista page). Thumbvista, like many other sites, records this basic information about visits to its site. The privacy and protection of your personal information is vitally important to us. Thumbvista does not make personal information available to any third parties without your permission. Any user statistics that we may provide to prospective partners regarding your Thumbvista usage are provided in the aggregate only and do not include any personally identifiable information about any individual user.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, despite our efforts to protect your personal information, Thumbvista cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, or to or from our online products or services. Who Has Access to the Information
Except as described, Thumbvista will not willfully disclose any individually identifiable information about its users to any third party without first receiving that user’s permission. SMS subscriber phone numbers
An end-user’s mobile phone number is collected and stored in Thumbvista’s database when a user subscribes to a brand or retailer’s service/list. Each client database is logically separated and encrypted, which helps to ensure that if data is compromised for one client, every other client’s data remains secure and untouched. Of course, we cannot guarantee complete data security (nobody can), but we can assure you that we consider this one of our highest priorities.
Location data
All mobile phone user data will be used only by Thumbvista and our partners to provide these services. We will not pass-on or re-sell your data to any third party. Location coordinate data is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology into password protected servers. This information is retained in memory long enough for Thumbvista to determine and send the appropriate message and is never stored in a persistent format and is accessible only by the service for determining location and triggering Discount Information or Retail Specials.
Sharing data with third parties
In order to offer our service we must work with certain suppliers. Those include an SMS service provider, mobile phone carriers, and mobile location providers. At every step, customers’ privacy is treated with the utmost respect. We assure you that we only work with companies that adhere to the same principles and policies that we ourselves champion, and only with those companies that are required in order for us to fulfill our promises of service to our clients.
